New Bill Aims to Stop Fake 9-1-1 Calls (OH)

Two state lawmakers from northeast Ohio are among those supporting legislation to reduce what they say are racist incidents involving fake 911 calls.

State Representatives Thomas West (D-Canton) and Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) introduced the measure.

Bethalto dispatching to be handled by Wood River (IL)

WOOD RIVER — Plans to consolidate Bethalto’s dispatching services into Wood River are moving forward and are expected to be completed around April 1, according to information provided at Wednesday’s Emergency Telephone Systems Board meeting this week.
