Dallas County 911 is preparing to honor our dispatchers during National Telecommunicator Week starting April 11. In October 1991, the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials received a congressional and presidential proclamation designating the second full week in April as National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week.

Each year a theme is designated; for 2021, that theme is “Superheroes.” Please join us in showing appreciation for the hard work and sacrifices these men and women make each day as they strive to help protect their communities they serve…


April 11 to 17 is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (VA)

The Prince William Board of County Supervisors recently recognized the week of April 11 to 17, 2021, as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

Very often, the first contact people have with the County in cases of emergency is when they call 9-1-1 and get a public safety telecommunicator on the line.

Emergencies require a prompt response from law enforcement and/or Fire and Rescue. Springfield to Partner with Mountain Valley Emergency Communications Center for 9-1-1 and Emergency Dispatch (NJ)

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — The township has entered into a contract agreement with Mountain Valley Emergency Communications Center (MVECC), a regional public safety answering point, to provide 9-1-1 services to all Springfield residents and businesses and emergency dispatching services for the Springfield Fire Department and Springfield First Aid Squad.

MVECC will begin answering all wireless and wireline 9-1-1 calls originating in Springfield Township in June. Springfield Township 9-1-1 calls for law enforcement assistance will be transferred directly to the Springfield Police Department, while calls for Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) assistance will be processed and dispatched by MVECC personnel…
