SPRINGFIELD, NJ — The township has entered into a contract agreement with Mountain Valley Emergency Communications Center (MVECC), a regional public safety answering point, to provide 9-1-1 services to all Springfield residents and businesses and emergency dispatching services for the Springfield Fire Department and Springfield First Aid Squad.

MVECC will begin answering all wireless and wireline 9-1-1 calls originating in Springfield Township in June.
