SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Rudy Salas (D-Bakersfield) joined a group of public safety dispatchers from across the state, on Jan. 22, for a press conference to celebrate Assembly Bill 1945 (AB 1945), which would recognize the brave work of public safety dispatchers by classifying them as first responders. Loveland couple Chelsea Johnson and William Walters were at their son’s music recital on the evening of Friday, Dec. 13 when Johnson, who was pregnant with her third child, started to have contractions.
The family headed home to pack a bag for the hospital and get ready to drop the kids off with Walters’ parents when all of the sudden, Johnson’s water broke. Walters tried to carry her to the car but her contractions started to come so fast that they couldn’t even make it that far…

CLINTON, Miss. — Clinton residents interested in learning more about their Clinton Police Department are invited to join the Citizens Police Academy.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) — The Eau Claire Police Department is warning people to be on the lookout for a phone scam that’s been circulating.
According to the police department, a scammer is using the Eau Claire Communications Center phone number and identifying themselves as an Eau Claire police officer or detective.
The scammer is asking residents to call them immediately, saying the recipient of the call is a victim of a crime or to threaten arrest… READ MORE
