On Nov. 3, 2020, the center’s ballot item failed in Dodge County with 8,128 votes against 7,167 and in Fremont with 5,731 votes against 4,782, putting an end to plans to house FPD, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Fremont/Dodge County 911 Communications Center in the same facility.
The ballot item would have funded the $18 million center using property taxes, costing property owners inside Fremont about $79 annually and those outside about $19 over 15 years… READ MORE

The Palo Alto County Public Safety Center is comprised of four different branches. It serves the County as the E-911 / Communications Center, Emergency Management, Sheriff’s Office and Jail. The center was constructed in 1908. Due to the continuing decline in conditions of the Palo Alto County Public Safety Center located at 2001 East 11th Street, the Sheriff recommended to the Board of Supervisors that a feasibility study be completed. Brian and Monica Campbell must serve at least 85 percent of their sentence before being eligible for release, according to Judge Timothy Dickerson. The couple pleaded guilty in December to committing four acts of abuse between 2016 and 2018 against four children adopted by the couple several years ago.
The prosecutions of the Campbells garnered a high level of community attention due to the parents’ jobs at the time a criminal investigation began in July 2018 – she worked as a 911 dispatcher for the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) while he was a case manager for the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DPS)…

MADISON — A goal that officials described as in the works for about 40 years appears ready to be completed later this year.
At Wednesday’s meeting of the Madison County Board of Commissioners, Sheriff Todd Volk and Norfolk Police Chief Don Miller provided updates on the new communications system and the merger of dispatch services between the two entities.

It has been more than three decades since Hays County opened its current sheriff’s office and jail. In 1989, the population of Hays County was around 65,400. Since then, Hays County has become one of the fastest-growing counties in the country, and in 2019, the population was over 230,000. It’s because of that growth that the county began eyeing an expansion of its public safety facilities, and as of this week the county has announced that they are officially in operation.
In November of 2016, Hays County voters passed a $106.4 million bond package for public safety facilities, including an expansion and renovation of the decades-old jail and the construction of buildings for emergency communications, law enforcement, and fleet maintenance…

JACKSON – Northampton County has been using the “Code Red” system for a decade now, but less than half of the people in the county are signed up to receive general and emergency alerts.
That was the update provided by Northampton County E911 Director Tammie Piland at the Board of Commissioners meeting held here on Jan. 20.
