Ambulance response times in Fenton average 5½ minutes (MI)

 While most of Genesee County is struggling with long ambulance wait times, Fenton is averaging wait times of 5 and a half minutes, thanks to the city having its own dispatching center.

 The city of Fenton has contracted with STAT EMS to provide ambulance services for 12 years.

 Joseph Karlichek, vice president of STAT, said the contract is primarily engineered to ensure Fenton has coverage 24/4, every day of the year with dedicated crews and backup procedures available. He said STAT has maintained an average response time of 5 minutes and 26 seconds with an average of 92-93% of 9-1-1 medical calls they respond to when dispatched by Fenton 911…

Three members of the Emergency Communications Team in Brandon were nominated and recognized with a Teamwork award from the Association of Public-Safety Communication Officials (APCO) Canada for an event that occurred in 2019.

Chrystal Strachan, Vanessa Lopez and Megan Keeping were named winners of the Teamwork Award.

‘Is it safe?’: 9-1-1 calls surrounding Eastman steam line failure paint frightening picture (TN)

KINGSPORT. Tenn. (WJHL) – Early Monday morning, Kingsport residents living near Eastman Chemical awoke to a plume of steam and a loud boom.

“I live right across the street from Eastman, and there’s been an explosion,” one caller told Kingsport 9-1-1.

Germantown plans new 911 call center (TN)

Germantown prides itself on being a safe community with fast emergency response times, and it starts with dispatchers working on the bottom floor of City Hall.

But Shelby County is providing funds for a new 911 call center building for the suburb, proposed north of the area between City Hall and the building housing Germantown’s economic and community development offices.

Pafford Medical Services commences Saline County 9-1-1 ambulance services contract (AR)

Pafford Medical Services began serving as the Saline County, 9-1-1 ambulance services provider on Feb. 1, after prevailing in a competitive procurement process held last year.

An interlocal agreement secures Pafford’s countywide contract for advanced life support (ALS) 9-1-1-response, treatment and transport. The company will operate eight ambulances daily with six of those ambulances scheduled to provide 24-hour coverage.
