YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A former call taker for Youngstown’s 911 center pleaded guilty Monday to obstructing a human trafficking investigation that her son was a suspect in.
Judge Anthony Donofrio sentenced Elaine Hellman, 72, to 18 months probation after she pleaded guilty to a single count of attempted obstruction of justice.

It was a dream of Misty Burke to become a 911 Dispatcher when she was a young girl.
That dream became a reality and Burke is one of the dedicated dispatchers working in the 911 center in the Wagoner County Court House.

Volusia County employees worked 627,200 hours of overtime totaling
nearly $19 million in the past fiscal year that ended on Oct. 1, a
News-Journal analysis found.
Since 2013, the amount of overtime
the county has paid has increased every year — from $14.4 million six

Bernalillo County is hiring in its Emergency Communications Department. The department is comprised of trained and certified personnel that receive 911 and non-emergency calls for service, dispatch law enforcement and fire/rescue to the citizens in unincorporated Bernalillo County.
