Emergency Communications Officer – 911 Dispatcher (Murphy, Idaho)

The Owyhee County Communications Center is operated 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and is located within the Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center. It is the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Owyhee County, and we provide radio dispatch for two law enforcement agencies, six fire departments, and four ambulance and/or quick response units. Council considers moving 911 dispatchers, purchasing new desks (OH)

ZANESVILLE – Council had its first hearing on Monday night of an ordinance authorizing the purchase of new dispatch desks for the city’s emergency services. Installation of the new desks would involve moving the dispatch center to a new location in the city’s public safety building.
