NEWARK, NJ — After more than 30 years of service to the city of Newark, Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose is expected to announce Wednesday that he is stepping down from his role, according to sources with the knowledge of the director’s decision.

First responders in Maryland are getting another major boost in their wireless communications with the addition of new, purpose-built FirstNet cell sites. This new infrastructure is a part of the FirstNet network expansion taking place across the state, bringing increased coverage, capacity and capabilities for public safety.
