LINCOLN, Neb. — A Nebraska news anchor thanked first responders who saved his newborn son and urged parents to learn CPR in an emotional broadcast on Monday night.
1011 NOW Evening Anchor Bill Schammert went on the air Monday to tell the story of how his son, Cameron, stopped breathing last Tuesday at just 13 days old.

Pueblo residents with telephone lines will pay about a dollar more each month per phone to fund the city’s 911 communications center.
Pueblo Police Chief Troy Davenport presented the fee increase to Pueblo City Council on Monday night.
Since 2009, the city of Pueblo has received 70 cents each month from phones linked to Pueblo, collected by the state Department of Revenue. Council’s change raises the emergency 911 surcharge to $1.72 for each phone per month… READ MORE

ROCHESTER, Minn. – 9-1-1 service is now restored after and 8-county outage that lasted hours.
According to Minnesota Emergency Communication Networks, the 9-1-1 outage affected residents in Olmsted, Dodge, Freeborn, Mower, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, and Winona counties.
In Olmsted county, a notification of the outage went out around 4 p.m. and phones didn’t beep again to say it was restored until 8 p.m…
