AT&T* has added three new cell sites to enhance the Livingston County’s ’s 4G LTE coverage and help give residents and first responders faster, more reliable wireless service. The company is also claiming this action will also help customers get the most out of their mobile devices.
The new cell sites serve Avon, the Route 5 & 20 split west of the Genesee River, the Village of Canawaugus, the Town of Caledonia, Lakeville, the Town of Livonia, the I-390 corridor between the NYS Thruway & Geneseo and the Village of Springwater.

When we think of public safety communications, we most often think of police, and fire, and the Two-Way radios they use. While much has changed about these systems over the years, the fundamentals of Two-Way Push-to-Talk (PTT) communications on a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system has been a staple. So much so, that we often define our communications requirements as if PTT over LMR is the only viable solution.
The Arlington County Police Department has quietly removed more of its radio channels from public monitoring.

FRANKFORT, Ky. – On March 18, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) honored 14 civilian employees in-person, during a private ceremony in Frankfort.
