Lorain County sheriff asks court to appoint attorney in dispute over countywide public safety (OH)

In the latest development regarding who is responsible for operating the countywide public safety communications system, Lorain County Sheriff Phil Stammitti has asked Lorain County Common Pleas Court to appoint an attorney to represent him in the matter as he continues to battle the county commissioners who believe they have authority over the system.

City Announces Opening of New Emergency Communications Center – (NE)

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird, Lincoln Police Chief Michon Morrow, and Lincoln Emergency Communications Center Manager Jessica Loos today opened the new Lincoln Emergency Communications Center (LECC) at the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) Northeast Team Station. The new, expanded LECC improves the resources and work environment for local 911 dispatchers, featuring technology and facility upgrades to better serve Lincoln and Lancaster County’s growing communities.

Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center Receives $20.9 Million State Grant to Enhance Public Safety (MA)

The Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center (HRECC) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a substantial grant of $20,883,162 from the Massachusetts State 911 Department. This grant, part of the Fiscal Year 2025 State 911 Department Regional Public Safety Answering Point and Regional Secondary Public Safety Answering Point and Regional Emergency Communications Center Development Grant Program, will significantly enhance HRECC’s capabilities and support public safety efforts across multiple communities.
