The Box Butte County and Alliance Police Department dispatch centers are considering combining, according to discussions during the Box Butte County Commissioners’ April 26 meeting.
Box Butte County Sheriff Tammy Mowry was on the agenda to discuss Box Butte County emergency dispatchers.
Mowry and County Attorney Terry Curtiss both explained to the board how consolidating the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center with the Alliance Police Department Dispatchers would be beneficial for both entities..

FORT SILL, Oklahoma (April 30, 2021) — When a 911 telephone call is made from a Fort Sill 442- or 558- prefix, the emergency call now goes directly to the Directorate of Emergency Services’ Emergency Communications Center (ECC).
In the past, these calls went to the city of Lawton dispatch center at the Great Plains Technology Center. There, Fort Sill General Schedule (GS) dispatchers manned a military police terminal and relayed emergency information to the installation. (ABC4) – Law enforcement across the Beehive State are asking communities two questions: who are you going to call when faced with an incident? and do you know when to do so?
According to the Logan Cache Police Department, when dealing with an incident that involves immediate danger that is when you should dial 911.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Topeka native Lacey Doiron grew up around law enforcement.
Her dad was a police officer.
Her husband is also a police officer.
Doiron says she always figured she’d make a career in law enforcement, as well.
