(CBS DETROIT) – A man who made threatening calls to 911 has pleaded guilty.
Jonathan Joshua Munafo, 35, pleaded guilty to communicating a threat in interstate commerce on Wednesday, May 25.
UVALDE, Texas (KXAN) — New questions, and concerns, were raised Friday about a possible breakdown in communication between 911 and the officers on the ground during the Uvalde shooting on Tuesday that left 19 children and two teachers dead.

It is taking longer to get through to 911 in Portland, Ore. The wait time increased after the city adopted new dispatch software. Here’s Jonathan Levinson of Oregon Public Broadcasting.

The Saratoga Police Department continues to grapple with staffing issues in dispatch.
Town Council last week approved a request from Chief Kenneth Lehr to hire an applicant contingent on a background check. However, Mayor Creed James recommended that Chief Lehr postpone advertising for a dispatch supervisor until the budget workshops are complete.
Councilman Ben Spaulding, who is the governing body’s liaison with the police department agreed. Mayor James said he is seeking outside help through county sources for solutions to staffing the dispatch center…

Chester County announced the addition of six new 911 dispatchers to its ranks at Wednesday’s Board of Commissioners meeting as it seeks to address a massive staffing crisis impacting the county Department of Emergency Services.
The department has been hemorrhaging staff for years.
With 29 full and part-time vacancies as of Tuesday, the county agency was well above the 18 full and part-time vacancies that it had at the end of 2019…
