TOWN OF DICKINSON – Broome County has made upgrades to its 9-1-1
center to help ensure that dispatchers can operate at peak performance.
The county showed off renovations to the dispatch center within the Public Safety Building in the Town of Dickinson.
It’s the first upgrade to the facility in fifteen years.
The project cost $350,000 which came from the county’s share of cell phone 9-1-1 surcharges.
Dispatchers worked out of a backup location for over eight weeks
while the room was gutted and new wiring, computers and other IT
infrastructure was replaced.

PASCO, WA- The Pasco Fire Department just added a ‘Resource

An Office of Legislative Audits review
released publicly this week included recommendations for ways to review
whether payments to the state’s 9-1-1 Trust Fund are made properly to
support emergency call centers throughout the state.
State Sen. Cheryl C. Kagan (D-Montgomery), who chairs the Commission to Advance Next-Generation 911 Across Maryland, will introduce ….

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – This time of year is not only about food, but
family. However, not everyone has the opportunity to spend it with
their loved ones.
Many have to work and can’t spend the holiday with their family. To
show appreciation, the Pearl Street Diner is prepping Thanksgiving meals
for local dispatchers and first responders in the Albany County.
“Thanksgiving and any other holiday, the first responders have to work. It’s not like other people who have the day off and can spend it with their family,” Owner of Pearl Street Diner, Anthony Mitsios said. “So this year, we are deciding….
