Illinois Valley Regional Dispatch in Peru was recently recognized at the state level by two organizations.
The dispatch was selected as a Prepared Center of Excellence. One center in each state receives this recognition. This award signifies IVRD is committed to bringing change to 911 and is dedicated to pushing the industry forward.

The Hutchinson-Reno County Emergency Communications team has been around for 40 years. The joint system was still a seven-digit number when they combined in 1983. The first 911 system was set up in Reno County in 1985. On Saturday, the dispatch center celebrated their 40th anniversary with a ceremony inside the Law Enforcement Center.
