NENA Cancels 2020 In-Person Annual Conference, Announces Virtual Event

NENA announced today that it has cancelled its in-person 2020 Annual Conference & Expo and is replacing it with an online event due to public-health and safety concerns related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The face-to-face event was originally scheduled to be held in June in Long Beach, California, before being postponed to September. However, given the still-uncertain trajectory of the pandemic, and considering that conference participants would be coming from all over the country and around the world, NENA concluded that cancelling the in-person meeting was the only safe and responsible action…

The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) announced in a release that its Integrated Services Program (ISP), in coordination with Fairfax County Public Safety, has launched Next Generation 9-1-1.

Communications center answers more than 25,000 911 calls annually (TN)

As the process of renegotiating the contract between Coffee County and the Coffee County 911 District begins, Communications Center Director Diane Argraves briefed the Coffee County Budget and Finance Committee June 17 about the operations at the center.
