BEND, OR — The Deschutes County Commissioners have approved a new, two-year labor contract with 9-1-1 dispatchers. The agreement takes effect July 1st and continues through June 2022. The contract includes a 2-and-1-half-per cent Cost of Living Adjustment known as COLA. HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – As of Monday night, some Verizon Wireless customers throughout the Shenandoah Valley are experiencing problems with their cell phone service.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) – On Monday, a grand jury released the results of an investigation into a complaint regarding an East Bay police department’s response time in answering 911 calls.
The Oakland police 911 Communications Center is a center in crisis.

The Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center buried a time capsule on June 12 in the HRECC’s new building, to be opened by staff members in 30 years, Director Steve Hooke recently said.
Members of the HRECC added items to the time capsule, which then was sealed behind one of the walls at the site of the new facility.
Some of the items in the capsule include the HRECC’s most recent development grant application, a current departmental budget, an HRECC patch and patches of all partner agencies, business cards, photos of the current center and the construction of the new center, the current HRECC staff roster…
