Germantown plans new 911 call center (TN)

Germantown prides itself on being a safe community with fast emergency response times, and it starts with dispatchers working on the bottom floor of City Hall.

But Shelby County is providing funds for a new 911 call center building for the suburb, proposed north of the area between City Hall and the building housing Germantown’s economic and community development offices.

911 Communications moves back into courthouse (KS)

Dickinson County 911 moved into its renovated emergency communications center in the basement of the courthouse Tuesday, Jan. 25.

The process took a little over 10 hours to complete, beginning just after 8 a.m. and finishing around 6:30 p.m., according to 911 Emergency Communications Director Emily Nichols.

Stow City Council votes to join regional dispatch center after lengthy examination (OH)

STOW — After lengthy study and discussion, the city has decided to join with four other government entities in a regional dispatch center operation.

Stow City Council on Thursday voted 5-1 to enter into an agreement to participate in the new center with Cuyahoga Falls, Fairlawn, Summit County, and Tallmadge that will be housed at the former Weaver Workshop building at North Avenue and Howe Road in Tallmadge.
