WEBSTER, MASS. (WHDH) – Town officials and public safety agencies showed their support for Webster Police Chief Michael Shaw, who faced criticism after laying on the ground with demonstrators protesting the death of George Floyd on Saturday.

The communications center is asking Killeen to contribute 16% or $1.5 million of the center’s overall $9.2 million budget. According to Bell County Judge David Blackburn, who serves on the center’s executive board, the requested figure is based on the number of Killeen-based calls the center receives. SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) — The Minneapolis City Council seems ready to defund its police department after the death of George Floyd and a long history of missteps leading up to it.
