WOOD RIVER — Plans to consolidate Bethalto’s dispatching services into Wood River are moving forward and are expected to be completed around April 1, according to information provided at Wednesday’s Emergency Telephone Systems Board meeting this week.

The Williston City Commission held a brief meeting Tuesday, Feb. 23, approving a handful of items upon their return to in-person meetings.

The Orleans Parish Communication District (OPCD) in Louisiana is upgrading its digital public-safety records with a cloud-deployable system that will facilitate data collection and sharing.
In coordination with the city of New Orleans and the Orleans Parish’s Sheriff’s Department, OPCD tapped Hexagon’s HxGN OnCall Records system to replace a homegrown, siloed system.
