MERCER COUNTY, W. Va. (WVVA) – Dispatchers at the Mercer County E-911 Center are being recognized this week during National Telecommunicators Week.

Nearly 1,000 times each day, people in Southern Nevada call 9-1-1 to report a fire or request medical assistance.
When a person calls 9-1-1 to report a fire or medical emergency in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas or Clark County, the call is handled by the Combined Communications Center located at Las Vegas Fire & Rescue headquarters.

After a trying 2020 and start to 2021, Bucks County is recognizing its dispatchers.

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – The people who answer the call and send help when there’s an emergency are in the spotlight during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
