GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Kent County Dispatch Authority is launching a new, $25 million digital radio system for police, fire and emergency response personnel that they say will improve communications and enhance public safety.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Local police dispatchers have changed their procedures in order to make the emergency process smoother for Emergency Medical Service responders due to this years significant rise in calls about health concerns due to the pandemic.

MERIDEN — Five months after city leaders said they were aggressively working to alleviate a worker shortage at the city’s Emergency Communications Center, the department is on its way to something close to a full roster, City Manager Timothy Coon said this week.
