Flagstaff Police, CCSO Launch New “Text To 9-1-1” Service (AZ)

The Flagstaff Police Department, along with the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, has launched their new “Text-to-9-1-1” service. The service started Tuesday. A user can send a text message to “9-1-1” and it will be routed to the dispatch center. First Responders | Mineral County dispatchers processed nearly 8000 calls to 911 lines last year (WV)

KEYSER, W.Va. — The Mineral County emergency center handled nearly 8,000 calls to its 911 lines from March through December of last year, according to Luke McKenzie, director of Emergency Services that includes emergency management, 911 and mapping and addressing.

“We only have statistics starting at the middle of March of 2020 because we put in a new phone system,” McKenzie said.
