GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Discussions are underway over finding a temporary home for a Brown County 911 communications tower.
It currently sits on the soon-to-be demolished Cofrin Library, which is located on the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus. It’s one of seven towers in Brown County that emergency responders use.

The City of Galena Park Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time Emergency Services Dispatcher position. The hourly salary range is $17.29 – 18.13 per hour. Dispatchers direct calls for emergency and non-emergency services including Police/Fire/EMS and after-hours calls for other city departments.
Applicants must be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualified applicants will be able to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations. Strong communication skills and clear diction are required.
