The Northern Middlesex Regional Emergency Communication Center (NMRECC) is seeking experienced, qualified public safety 911 Dispatchers. Candidates must possess certifications in EMD, 911, CPR and AED, IMC, and CJIS. Certification from APCO as a PST1 or equivalent is preferred. Candidate to become certified in Next Generation 911 systems through the MA State 911 Department and in TTY hearing impaired equipment.
HUMPHREYS CO., Tenn. (WKRN) – Dispatchers in Humphreys County were overwhelmed with emergency calls during Saturday’s severe flooding.
The Humphreys County 911 Director told News 2 there were only two dispatchers on shift at the time. They work in 12-hour shifts and said it was difficult getting additional staff due to the rapid nature of the calls. They estimated receiving at least 350 calls in regard to the flooding…
The combined City and County Dispatch Center took up most of Monday night’s Washington City Council meeting.
Under the current situation, the Washington Police Department’s receptionist also serves as a 911 dispatcher.
This has resulted in some instances where emergency calls have been put on hold, while the dispatcher had to take care of other police business.

Ashton Orchard’s mother says she wondered whether her daughter would succeed as an emergency dispatcher.
