The Public Safety Network (PSN) on the Central Coast has been expanded with the completion of a new site in Algewn Rd, Gosford.
The site is part of a state-wide publicly owned network of telecommunications towers that services the emergency services and other State Government agencies.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal, Adam Crouch, said the new radio site, delivered by NSW Telco Authority, is vital to ongoing community safety in the region.

TACOMA, WA — A plan nearly a decade in the making has come to fruition with the grand opening of South Sound 911’s new Public Safety Communications Center.
Technically, the center has been up and running since July, but it wasn’t until this Monday that South Sound 911 had an opportunity to christen the building with a ribbon cutting ceremony, featuring the South Sound’s Board of Directors, Executive Director Deborah Grady and Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards.
Back in 2012 voters approved a plan to consolidate five local 911 call centers into South Sound 911. With Monday’s ribbon cutting and flag raising ceremony, South Sound 911 says they’ve fulfilled its promise to those voters to provide a more efficient, safer network for Pierce County first responders…

A multitude of agencies can be involved in emergency response situations, but the first people to answer are always the same: call dispatchers.
“We answer the first calls from the public when they have an emergency,” said Kris Fox, Brazos County 911’s communications manager. “When they dial 911, we answer that.”
The Brazos County Emergency Communications District was formed in 1988 and operates a 24/7 communications center for 13 law enforcement and fire agencies in the county. In September, Fox said the call center averaged 33 calls per hour with a peak of 85…
