CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Calhoun County Consolidated Dispatch Authority is providing support for dispatchers in the form of Hope, a dog from the organization Canines For Change.
Hope is a one-year-old Goldendoodle who is nearly complete in her certification process to be a facility dog.

HOLBROOK — Director Steve Hooke is pleased to announce that the Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center was awarded nearly $17 million in grants for Fiscal Year 2024 from the Massachusetts State 911 Department.
The grant programs award funds to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and Regional Emergency Communication Centers (RECCs) for allowable expenses related to operations and new community partnerships, equipment and training.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – A former 911 dispatcher is pleading with St. Louis City to fix what she calls a broken system with a skeleton crew for a call center.
“When I left, we were holding calls for 2 to 3 hours,” says retired 911 police dispatcher Maureen Ramsey. “We would get people that they would send for us to interview that were wanted.”
