WEST OLIVE — The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners passed a 911 plan for the county Tuesday that brings documentation up-to-date with the latest technology used by the Ottawa County Central Dispatch Authority.

Clearfield County Commissioners awarded a bid for completion of a communications tower sited on land owned by the Moshannon Valley School District. During Tuesday’s meeting, the board said the award is contingent on a review and final approval of the offer by county Solicitor Heather Bozovich.

The Hawai‘i Police Department has been plagued by staffing shortages from various departments for several years.
Over the past couple of years, HPD has struggled to hire and retain sworn and unsworn employees. Overall, the department has 53 sworn position vacancies and 32 non-sworn positions. Dispatch currently has the most openings among non-sworn employees with 16 vacancies.
