The Boaz City Council on Monday approved the hiring he hiring of Ashley Kent as a full-time jailer/dispatcher and Wayne Hunt as a part-time maintenance worker.
It also approved the payment of bills and previous meeting minutes in the only other items requiring action.
A Pierrefonds woman is demanding Urgences Sante explain why it took nearly three hours for the ambulance carrying her husband, to arrive at the hospital.

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – They are the first people you turn to when you need help, and there’s a shortage of them in some local counties.
Dispatchers work hard, taking calls and making sure people get the help they need.
“We are the first responders, and it is a hard job,” Tracy Williams said.
Right now, Nassau County doesn’t have enough of them. As a result, the 20 dispatchers on the job now are overworked. Including Williams, who has been a dispatcher for 17 years.
