ELLSWORTH — On Jan. 13, councilors approved $25,000 in matching funds for a design study that will look at connecting the city’s bike/pedestrian path that ends on Birch Avenue to the Down East Sunrise Trail, the mixed-use path that terminates on High Street near Beals Avenue.
