Killeen council receives budget requests from outside agencies (TX)

The communications center is asking Killeen to contribute 16% or $1.5 million of the center’s overall $9.2 million budget. According to Bell County Judge David Blackburn, who serves on the center’s executive board, the requested figure is based on the number of Killeen-based calls the center receives. Retiring Westminster police dispatcher, supervisor gives her final 10-7 (CA)

It was late one night when the calls started coming in for a cow running loose on the streets of Westminster.

The cow ran down streets with officers chasing it for more than an hour. At one point the cow even jumped over the hood of a police unit, damaging the vehicle.

City to break ground on Public Safety Complex on June 17 (TX)

The public is cordially invited to attend a Ground Breaking Ceremony scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on June 17, for the new City of Jacksonville Public Safety Complex.
