ANNAPOLIS — Maryland’s first responders are getting a boost in their wireless communications with the addition of new, purpose-built FirstNet cell sites and other network enhancements statewide.
The new infrastructure is a part of the FirstNet network expansion taking place across the state, bringing increased coverage, capacity and capabilities for public safety.

FRANKLIN Co., Va. (WSET) — A Franklin County dispatcher now has a close bond with a family after she helped deliver a baby boy over the phone.
Connor came into the world nine days early on June 20 at the surprise of his parents, Ashley and Anthony Hodges. Thanks to Jennifer Creighton, a 911 dispatcher for Franklin County, the Hodges, who had no medical help, were able to delivery baby Connor with her guide.

PAYETTE – At its regular meeting on July 6, the Payette City Council addressed a letter penned by Mayor Jeff Williams to the Idaho Public Safety Communications Commission, to endorse a grant application to fund upgrades of Payette County’s 911 system.

Cerretto, is an accredited agency through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Tigard’s mayor is moving forward with plans to create a Tigard Public Safety Transformation Commission to consider and act on issues important to the community involving the city’s police department. That commission would research and look at a variety of topics – everything from accountability and transparency to police use of force — before deciding whether to forward the issue to the City Council for final approval.
