The union representing city of Spokane fire dispatchers is once again at odds with leaders of the county’s new 911 dispatch center.
The dispatch center, Spokane Regional Emergency Communications, or SREC, switched to a new computer system last week that limits the role of city fire dispatchers in the emergency response process.

Kentucky State Police is seeking to fill 30 full-time and part-time telecommunicator positions at 14 various post locations across the commonwealth.
KSP spokesperson Sgt. Josh Lawson said the agency is experiencing an unprecedented level of telecommunicator vacancies.

ADRIAN — After two 911 outages this year, the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office is working to try to prevent further problems with its 911 vendor and strengthen its backup plans in case it happens again.

The Owen Sound Police Service completed 911 transfer tests this week, finishing a long and difficult process of Next Generation 911 compatibility.
Earlier this year, the Service completed its first test call with Bell Canada.
