TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) – Pima County Sheriff’s Department implemented a new program that will transform the way 911 call-takers triage calls from those in mental health crisis.
Through continued partnership with Arizona Complete Health, callers identified as having a behavioral health need- and no immediate safety, criminal or medical concern- will be transferred to the Arizona Crisis Line.

Residents and visitors in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County are now able to text when they have an emergency in an effort by the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Emergency Communications Center to provide more lifesaving services to the public.
The program, which is now in effect, allows individuals to text information about their emergency to the number “911”. While you should always call 9-1-1 first if you can, the text option will support individuals who may be unable to call due to the emergency they are experiencing… READ MORE

Safety With Sprocket is an online resource offering a hands-on, educational opportunity focused around fire safety, how to be an informed 9-1-1 caller, emergency preparedness tips and more.
