Polk County joins Joint Communications Center (NE)

Difficulty filling dispatch positions has led the Polk County Sheriff’s Office to join the Platte County Joint Communications Center in Columbus through a new interlocal agreement.

Polk County Sheriff Dwaine Ladwig said he has advertised for the dispatcher job, but after no one applied, Polk County had to begin looking at other options.

Bowling Green’s Medical Center EMS ambulance service has successfully completed the 20-step process to reaccredit its communications center as an Accredited Center of Excellence.

NH 911 Workers Help Callers Deliver 4 Babies In 9 Days

CONCORD, NH — NH Enhanced 911 workers have been busy assisting on the phone with the deliveries of four babies in nine days.

From Nov. 23 through Dec. 1, they have provided emergency childbirth instructions and helped deliver four babies in New Hampshire.

911 system upgrade one step closer to allowing text messages (IL)

DeKALB – DeKalb County is one step closer to residents having the capability to text 911 if they’re unable to call.
