The board of St. Francois County 911 Joint Communications resolved to continue meeting with area fire departments and EMS providers in the area to figure out improved computer-aided dispatch (CAD) services.
At its meeting in June, it also discussed creating a new 3- to 5-year plan for future priorities, heard an update on the Simms Mountain Tower project, and congratulated 911 Director Alan Wells for the center’s 100% score on its MULES audit.
The Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES) is the state’s records custodian for criminal history data and provides an online public service to obtain certified criminal history records. The Missouri State Highway Patrol conducts the audit every two years, Wells said. Community Watch in The Villages is celebrating a major accomplishment after earning statewide accreditation recognition.
Last month, Assistant District Manager Carrie Duckett, Chief Nehemiah Wolfe, Assistant Director Juliane Day and Lead Dispatcher Accreditation Manager Deb Ballard stood before the Florida Telecommunications Accreditation Commission. CLEVELAND (WJW) — The FOX 8 I-Team has now obtained the recording showing what a woman heard after she called 911 in Cleveland and had to wait half an hour.
Earlier this week, the I-Team revealed the 30-minute 911 call.
Now, a recording just released to the I-Team sheds new light on how that happened on the night of July 4.

Leslie Cheatham is a person who has spent most of her life helping others, whether as a telecommunicator for the Town of Farmville, an EMT in her earlier years as a in Campbell County and Pamplin or as a community member who tries to quietly help others’ satisfy needs.
Cheatham joined the Town of Farmville eight years ago as a dispatcher. Now 49, she said she didn’t feel like she could spend as much time out in the field as an EMT as she used to, but being a dispatcher still keeps her involved with helping lives.

The Department of Homeland Security has selected San Antonio-based SecureLogix to proceed with the second phase of a cybersecurity architecture designed to protect multimedia content in Next Generation 9-1-1 emergency communication systems.
SecureLogix received the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II award after the software company completed feasibility demonstration work, DHS said Wednesday.
