HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Shortly before Perrie Mason vanished earlier
this month, two 911 calls were made from her phone. Dispatchers did not
hear anyone on the line and called her back, but still no response,
according to her sister.
Four days later, on Aug. 21, the body of the 31-year-old
Connecticut mother of two, who recently moved from Hawaii, was found and
her ex-boyfriend was arraigned in court on domestic violence charges in
connection with a previous attack against Mason, authorities said.
Officials have called the ex-boyfriend, Jason Watson, a prime suspect in
her disappearance, but no charges have been filed in connection with
her death.

Traffic in North Texas can
change in an instant. We tell you about it every morning and the people
over at MedStar deal with it all the time.
Often medical emergency personnel are rerouted while trying to get patients to the hospital.
We
were inside MedStar’s communications center to give you a firsthand
look at how it’s done. It’s a roadwork utility system that helps MedStar

open house on a Tuesday evening and taking its first calls the next
morning.
The City Council made
the decision to move forward with the $1.6 million project about eight
months ago. Since then, a portion of City Hall quickly transformed —
from the mayor’s former office and conference room to a nearly brand-new
center with the latest technology.

SHEBOYGAN – There’s a hum of activity
even on a slow day. Several screens tower over each 911 dispatcher, and
there are usually four or five dispatchers. Red and green lights flicker
on and off indicating when one of them is on the phone or radio.
This
room is dark. But it’s organized. And it withstood the chaos of 605
calls in five hours when three tornadoes left a trail of damage during a
vicious storm that pummeled Sheboygan County on Aug. 28, 2018.
A
year later, some protocols have changed as a result, and that day is
one the staff of the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center
will not soon forget.

Athens Police Department officers were sent on Thursday afternoon to
