I’m writing to clarify many misconceptions and misinformation regarding emergency dispatch serving the city of North Olmsted.
The safety of all our residents is a top priority of my administration, and the decision to move dispatch services from the City of North Olmsted to Chagrin Valley Dispatch (CVD) is what is best for our community.
PENDLETON — Umatilla County has a proposal to upgrade lighting in the sheriff office’s dispatch center after a pair of spring power outages. But when the county will make any improvements remains a question.

The July event is the second of three this summer dedicated to sending messages of love and support to the first voices heard when anyone calls 911: emergency dispatchers. Help create hope by painting a small ceramic heart and writing a message of love and support to be included in “Boxes of Love” care packages sent by Newtown’s 911 operators to other dispatchers across the country.
