Sunday night Ripley County lost a man who paved the way for many in the emergency management services today. At the age of 70, Dan Mulford, Napoleon, passed away at his home.

The website will also include news about the emergency communications center and officials said it will be periodically updated with new content.
Dispatcher Lindsay Gillip received “The Beat Goes On” Award on June 10th, 2022.
The award was given by the Louisa County Ambulance Service, which handled the call she had taken. According to Dispatcher Gillip, the award is given to those involved in a call involving a cardiac event save.
The City finalized labor agreements with its public safety employees that will continue the high level of service and provide financial certainty, including a multi-year deal with firefighters that will start negotiations to move to a regional dispatch partnership.
