LEOMINSTER — Starting Thursday, dispatch for the city’s police, fire and EMS will all be under the same roof.
Located at 210 Lancaster St., the public got a look at the new Joint E911 Dispatch Center during an open house on Tuesday. Previously, police and fire were in separate buildings on Church Street. This renovation and new location offers both departments an opportunity to work closer together and improve response times.

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA. (BRPROUD) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office is the first in Louisiana to use a new dispatcher tool, Next Generation 911 technology.
A digital, internet protocol (IP)-based system, known as Next Generation 911 is set to replace the analog 911 infrastructure that’s been in place for decades.

CHICOPEE — WestComm Regional Dispatch Executive Director Erin Hastings was awarded State 911 Leader of the Year.
The award comes from the Massachusetts State 911 Department and Massachusetts Communications Supervisors Association.
