Every year, during the second week of April, the telecommunications personnel in the public safety community are honoured.

Public safety is integral to the quality of life in our communities, and this week-long event is a time to recognize, celebrate and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public. It is a week set aside so everyone can be made aware of their hard work and dedication and bring greater awareness of 9-1-1 best practices.
