Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom (D-Tracy) recently secured $2 million in state funding to upgrade and modernize the Tracy Police Department’s communications system.
The state funding will help pay for two new radio sites to expand coverage, dispatch upgrades and other infrastructure improvements designed to make Tracy’s communications system more reliable and secure. These upgrades will help Tracy’s first responders communicate more effectively with agencies outside the city when an emergency requires a coordinated regional response.
