On March 1, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office received re-accreditation for its E911 Emergency Communications Center after an assessment by the New York State Sheriffs’ Association – Public Safety Answering Point Accreditation Program.

This re-accreditation is valid through June 2025. The New York State Sheriff’s Associate Accreditation program is designed to establish and promote standards, which are widely considered to be prudent and effective for operating an Emergency Communications Center.
