SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – Just over a week after Sikeston’s Communications Center officially took over all 911 dispatching for southern Scott County, officials say the transition has gone smoothly, and emergency response times are already improving.
The merger consolidates dispatch operations from multiple agencies into one central location, allowing the Sikeston Department of Public Safety(DPS) to handle every emergency call across the county.
