Maryland’s top elected leaders on Friday praised the police response to this week’s threat of gun violence at the State House and said they’re taking steps to improve communications around the sprawling state office campus during future emergencies.
A new text alert system to more quickly notify state employees and visitors in the area was already in the works before the anonymous threat Thursday.
