TOULON – Stark County’s days as the last remaining Illinois county without enhanced 911 service are numbered.
Thanks to a partnership with Peoria County and a $2.4 million state grant, officials now expect to provide that service by early 2024 in a new state-of-the-art emergency communications center to be constructed as an annex to the existing Stark County Sheriff’s Department in the heart of downtown Toulon.
