When you’re in an emergency, 911 is supposed to be there to take your call and get you help quickly.
An Action News Jax investigation reveals the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office 911 call center has failed to meet the state recommendations for answering 911 calls quickly.
The state says a 911 call should be answered within 10 seconds, but last month, JSO says the average ring time was nearly double that.
