National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week continues through Saturday. The week – it is always the second week of April – honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Communications Bureau includes the 911 Division, which handles emergency calls for service; and the Sheriff’s Office Communications Division, which handles Sheriff’s Office calls for service and administrative lines.
