EL CENTRO — The City of El Centro presented plaques of recognition to a non-profit community organization, city departments, and introduced new hires during the city’s regular council meeting April 5 at the city hall.

These recognitions that comprised Agenda Items 1-4 were presented at the onset of the council meeting. Supporters and advocates filled the seats close to capacity and some individuals stood along the chamber walls.

Mayor Tomàs Oliva proclaimed April as “Autism Awareness Month” and April 2 as “World Autism Awareness Day” in the City of Centro; “National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week — April 10-16, 2022”; “National Library Week— April 3-9, 2022”.
